What are some dangers of having a recurrent or incurable UTI while pregnant?

my BFF is 3 months pregs and is having this problem and they have given her several antibiotics and it hasn't gone away! i am very worried about her- and sites i have found on the net never mention one that is inncurable. is this possible? will she and the baby be ok? help!
