Animal Crossing Wild World- what happens when you see the golden slingshot in the sky and miss it?

i saw the golden slingshot in the sky and tried to shoot it down but missed, a day later i saw it again and shot it down but it hit a weed and dissapeared. will it come again or do i need to shoot down 15 more objects?
